Yearwood, a native of Panama City, Panama, ranks 11th on Briar Cliff's all-time scoring list with 1,787 career points. He ranks first in program history in career field-goal percentage, converting 64.8% of his attempts.
 

Yearwood also ranks eighth all-time in career field goals made with 673, seventh in free throws made with 441, and second in free throw attempts with 754. He ranks third in career steals with 215 and fifth in career blocks with 98. His 65 steals in the 1995-96 season ranks 10^th in a single season.  He ranks seventh all-time in three pointers attempted with 441.
 

Yearwood recorded three of the top four single-season field-goal percentages in program history, shooting 65.6% during the 1994–95 season, which ranks second all-time. He also shot 65.4% in the 1992–93 season, ranking third, and 64.4% in the 1995–96 season, ranking fourth.
 

Yearwood was a three-time All-Region selection during his final three seasons at Briar Cliff. Yearwood graduated from Briar Cliff in 1996.
