Teresa Tusa Stillmock, a 1979 graduate of Omaha Mercy High School and a 1983 graduate of Briar Cliff, played on four Io-Kota Conference championship volleyball teams for Coach Marian Pesky. During her career, the volleyball team compiled a 51-1 loop mark, including undefeated league campaigns in 1979, 1980 and 1982. Stillmock and her teammates compiled a four-year overall mark of 167-32 and captured AIAW Division III state championships in 1979, 1980 and 1981. The 1980 team finished 47-4 and advanced to the 16-team AIAW national tournament in Los Angeles, California. A four-time best defensive player recipient, Stillmock was voted team most valuable player and best offensive player as a senior. She was named all-district as a senior and was a three-time all-conference selection. Stillmock also participated in basketball and softball at Briar Cliff, earning best offensive player softball honors as a freshman and junior.
