Briar Cliff University

Sam Acheampong, a 2012 graduate, was a five-time NAIA All-American in track and field. He qualified for the NAIA National Track and Field Championships on eight occasions and was named All-GPAC 12 times. Acheampong graduated with five school records at Briar Cliff with times of 6.31 (55-meter dash), 6.77 (60-meter dash), 10.44 (100-meter dash), 22.34 (indoor 200) and 21.74 (outdoor 200). His best finish at the national meet was third in the 60-meter dash in 2011 and he had six top-eight finishes in a three-year span.
