Kathy Mielk Marsh participated in both basketball and volleyball for the Chargers. She was a three-time All-Conference basketball selection and received All- District honors as a senior. She finished her career with 1,920 points and 881 rebounds. In 1982, she scored 43 points against Westmar University which was the highest single game total at the time. Mielk would eventually surpass that total with 46 points in a game against Mount Marty. In 1983, she was ranked 15th in the country with a field goal percentage of 53% and received an All-American Award from the Women's sport federation.
