Jerry Hanson is a 1980 graduate...served as the college's sports information director from 1979-97...coordinated all fundraising events for the Chargers Booster Association (CBA) as the college's director of sports promotion from 1992-97...was instrumental in establishing Kid's Club program, the CBA, the idea of business night sponsors and the Briar Cliff Athletic Hall of Fame...made Briar Cliff a front-runner in computerized statistics...earned numerous NAIA publications awards, including "Best in the Nation" honors...was 1994 recipient of the NAIA Clarence "Ike" Pearson Award...volunteered with NAIA national tournaments, the Nike Dakota Dunes golf tournament, the NAIA World Series, RAGBRAI and numerous other endeavors.
