Corey Lias ('03) started every game of his four-year career with the Briar Cliff baseball team. He was two-time NAIA Honorable Mention All-American and all-region selection. The first team all-conference outfielder was a two-time team MVP. He finished his career as BC's all-time run leader with 216. He was also third all-time with 187 RBI and 52 doubles, fourth all-time with .379 career batting average and 37 homeruns, fifth all-time in hits (237) and triples (8) and ninth all-time with 48 stolen bases. Lias also owned a share of the school's single-season run record with 70 in 2003. He also produced the third-most RBIs in a season with 64 during the 2002 campaign. Lias claimed the single game records for doubles (3), homeruns (4) and RBIs (12). Lias produced arguably the best baseball performance ever by a Charger when he hit four homeruns and registered 12 RBI in a game against Northwestern during his senior year. In that contest, he had two homeruns, including a grand slam in one inning. Lias led the Chargers to four-straight regional tournaments. As a senior, he also led the Chargers to the GPAC tournament championship, their first year in the league. Lias was also a member of BCU's Dean's List.
