Matt Harr ('89) was a three time NAIA All-District 15 second baseman. He earned all-region honors in 1987. Named the team's Jim Bertelsen Award (MVP) recipient as a senior. Named the team's Gold Glove award winner twice.
In three seasons with the Chargers, finished with 165 runs scored, 126 RBIs, 194 hits and 41 doubles. Batted .337 for his career with 11 triples and 89 stolen bases. Helped the Blue and Gold to a three year record of 118-57-1 including a district championship in 1987.
Became the second Charger selected in the MLB draft in 1989 after being selected by the San Francisco Giants.
