Boettcher, a native of Owatonna, Minnesota, finished her career as the Chargers' all-time leader in digs by a libero with 2,862. She holds the three highest single-season dig totals in program history with 834 in 2007, 733 in 2005, and 705 in 2006.

In the 2016 season, Boettcher posted 50 digs in a match, ranking second in a single match. Her 45 digs against Dordt in 2007 ranks fourth in a single match. She also holds the eighth spot with 41 against Morningside in 2007 and the 10^th spot with 40 against Nebraska Wesleyan in 2007.

Boettcher was named GPAC Libero of the Year in 2007 and earned first-team All-GPAC honors in 2006 and 2007. She was also a second-team All-GPAC selection in 2005. Boettcher graduated from Briar Cliff in 2007.
