Bryan Forbes played basketball at Briar Cliff from 2013-17 where he was a two-time Honorable Mention All-American and a four-time all-GPAC honoree. 

Forbes was named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Year his junior season when he recorded team bests in blocks (30), steals (69) and defensive rebounds (244). He led the GPAC and was sixth in the NAIA in steals, was first in the conference and 18th in the NAIA in total rebounds (280) and seventh in the GPAC in blocks.

Forbes was a member and starter on three straight NAIA National Tournament teams from 2015-17 and an Elite Eight appearance in 2016. The 2015-16 team posted a 32-4 record and set school records for wins and wins in a row (18). Forbes led the team in rebounds, steals, blocks and was second in scoring for the record breaking team. Forbes and the Chargers were GPAC Champions in 2015-16 and 2016-17. 

Following his graduation at Briar Cliff, Forbes spent two seasons at East Tennessee State as a men's basketball graduate assistant. Forbes returned to the Cliff as an assistant coach in July of 2019.
