Demetry Hoseth of the Briar Cliff men's cross-country team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Sioux City Riverfront Briar Cliff Athlete of the Week after a standout performance at the Briar Cliff Invite.

Hoseth continued his strong start to the season by posting a new personal best in the men's 8K race, finishing with a time of 29:19.87. The junior distance runner shaved off over 30 seconds from his previous record of 29:56.4, marking a major milestone in his collegiate career.

Hoseth and the Chargers will return to action on October 25 in Ashland, NE, at the Blazing Tiger Invite. The race is set to start at 9:00 a.m.
