The Charger Track and Field / Cross Country team have announced the hiring of Michael Ocasek as Assistant Coach.
 
Ocasek, a native of Northbrook, Illinois, recently served as a graduate assistant for the University of Jamestown track and field / cross country program in Jamestown, North Dakota. During his tenure, he helped guide multiple athletes to All-GPAC performances and a cross-country national qualifier in 2023.
 
Ocasek also spent time as an assistant coach for New Trier girls' cross country, helping guide them to an 11^th place finish at the IHSA 3A Championships with a top runner finishing in 18^th place for All-State Honors.
 
Ocasek ran collegiately for the DePauw University Tigers Track and field and Cross Country team. He earned eight All-NCAC accolades during his career.
