The Charger cross-country team continued its season Saturday, competing at the  Sunflower Open at the Dordt Cross Country Course in Sioux Center, Iowa.

In the men's 6K, freshman Trevyn Ruch led the Chargers with a time of 21:05.42, finishing 69th overall. Sebastian Lopez followed closely behind with a mark of 21:11.68. Nathan MacClure crossed the finish line in 23:17.36, followed by Collin Vines with a time of 23:21.78 and Demetry Hoseth with a mark of 25:07.72.

As a team, Briar Cliff finished fourth with 120 points.

The Chargers will return to action on Saturday, October 3, where they will be hosting the Briar Cliff Invite. The men's race begins at 8:30 a.m. and  the women's race will begin at 9:30 a.m.
