Mario Granjo of the Briar Cliff Men's Soccer team has been named the Week 1: GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player of the Week following impressive performances against the University of Saint Mary and Maharishi this past week.

Granjo, a junior from Puerto de Sagunto, Spain, recorded two goals and one assist across the Chargers' two contests. He found the back of the net in each game while also adding an assist against Maharishi.

Throughout the week, Granjo recorded seven shots, with four finding the target, finishing with a 57% shots-on-goal percentage. His offensive production helped the Chargers secure wins in both contests.

The Chargers return to action on Wednesday, September 2, traveling to Lamoni, Iowa, to take on Graceland University. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
