Briar Cliff baseball standout
Cade Marquardt added another accolade to his decorated senior season, earning NAIA First-Team All-American honors in a release announced Thursday afternoon.
Marquardt becomes the 24th player in program history to earn NAIA All-America recognition and the first Charger to receive the honor since 2021.
The Litchfield, Minnesota, native put together one of the top offensive seasons in the nation, batting .458 with a .523 on-base percentage and a .756 slugging percentage. He recorded 77 hits, 55 RBIs, 10 home runs, 14 doubles, three triples, and 24 walks during the 2025 campaign.
Among NAIA leaders, Marquardt ranked second nationally in batting average and 20th in on-base percentage. He also led the GPAC in both categories.
In addition to his All-American selection, Marquardt was named the GPAC Player of the Year and earned GPAC Gold Glove honors for his performance on the field this season.
Following the conclusion of his collegiate career, Marquardt signed with the Sioux City Explorers of the American Association of Professional Baseball.
