The Briar Cliff University baseball team has been recognized with the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced Wednesday afternoon.

The award recognizes high school and collegiate baseball programs that achieve a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the academic year.

More than 800 high school and college programs earned the distinction in 2025-26, with the Chargers standing among just 36 NAIA programs to receive the honor.
