Nico Sall of the Charger baseball team has been named Hilton Garden Inn Sioux City Riverfront Briar Cliff Athlete of the Week for his performances against Bismarck State last week.
 
Sall, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, recorded seven hits with a .700 batting average, .800 on base percentage, and a 1.500 slugging percentage in the four-game series against Bismarck State. Sall tallied two home runs, two doubles, eight RBIs, and a stolen base. In game two of the series, Sall went three-for-four at the plate and hit two home runs and recorded three RBIs.
 
The Chargers will open GPAC play this Friday, as they take on the Hastings Broncos.
