BRIAR CLIFF WOMEN'S BASKETBALL EARNS NATIONAL TOURNAMENT BID

The Briar Cliff women's basketball team will enter the NAIA National Tournament as the No. 10 seed in the Cramer Quadrant after compiling a 19-10 overall record and a 13-9 mark in GPAC play. Briar Cliff earned an at-large bid after finishing fifth in the conference and receiving votes in the final Top 25 Coaches' Poll. The Chargers will travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to face the No. 7 seed College of Idaho.

Briar Cliff will be making its 18th appearance in the National Tournament and holds a 36-17 all-time record. The Chargers have now qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for the fifth consecutive year and will be making their first appearance under head coach Connor Sonius.

The Chargers will face the College of Idaho Yotes (21-8) in the opening round on March 13 at 7 p.m. ET. The Yotes also earned an at-large bid to qualify for the opening round.

Saint Francis (27-4) and Brescia (24-7) will also meet on March 13 at 5 p.m. ET. Saint Francis earned its bid as the Crossroads League Tournament runner-up, while Brescia secured a spot as the River States Conference Tournament runner-up, marking its first tournament appearance since 2008.

The winners of the opening-round match-ups will face each other on March 14 at 3 p.m. ET. The winner will advance to the final site of the NAIA Women's Basketball National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa.
