Cade Marquardt of the Charger baseball team has been named Hilton Garden Inn Sioux City Riverfront Briar Cliff Athlete of the Week for his performances last weekend.
 
Marquardt, a senior from Litchfield, Minnesota, went 12-for-17 at the plate with four doubles, a triple, two home runs, and eight RBIs. He posted a slash line of .706/.722/1.412 during the four-game span. In the final game against Mount Marty, Marquardt went five-for-five with two doubles, two home runs, and five RBIs while drawing a walk.
 
The baseball team will return to action next Saturday, as they travel to Crete, Nebraska to take on the Doane Tigers. They will host the Concordia Bulldogs on Sunday.
