Cormyc Guerrero of the Briar Cliff football team has been named the Week 6: GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week following his standout performance against Waldorf.

Guerrero, a freshman from Georgetown, Texas, was sensational in the return game, recording two touchdowns in the Chargers' 38-7 victory over the Warriors.

Guerrero made the most of his opportunities, taking a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown and a punt 75 yards for another touchdown. He finished the game with 173 return yards while helping the Chargers secure the Homecoming victory.

The Chargers return to action on Saturday, October 10, hosting Northwestern University for a GPAC match-up. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
