The Charger cross-country team opened their season Friday evening, competing at the Augustana Twilight at the Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
 
In the women's 5K, Maria Russell completed the race in 20:07.92. hitting a new personal best. Ashley Quimiro-Rosales finished the race with a mark of 22:45.30.
 
In the men's four-mile, Demetry Hoseth finished with a mark of 22:53.75. James Nagle finished with a time of 23:41.43.
 
The Chargers will return to action September 20, as they travel to Ankeny, Iowa for the Viking Classic.
