Kyle Gibson of the Charger football team and
Xabier Ilundain of the men's soccer team were named Hilton Garden Inn Sioux City Riverfront Briar Cliff Co-Athletes of the Week for their performances last week.

Gibson, a sophomore from Magnolia, Texas, forced three turnovers in the Chargers 21-7 Homecoming win over the Tigers.

Gibson forced two fumbles and recorded one fumble recovery against the Tigers. He also recorded an interception. Gibson finished second in tackles with eight.

Ilundain, a freshman from Pamplona, Spain, recorded double digit saves and played all 180 minutes at keeper for the Chargers.

Against the Morningside Mustangs, Ilundain recorded 10 saves in the clean sheet. Against the Bulldogs, Ilundain recorded 12 saves.

The football team will travel to Sioux Center, Iowa to take on the Dordt Defenders this upcoming Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. The men's soccer team will host the Midland Warriors this Saturday at 1p.m. on Faber Field.
