SCOUTING THE CHARGERS
The Charger football team jumped back into the win column, last Saturday, defeating the Hastings Broncos 20-16 at Memorial Field.
Â
The defense held the Broncos to 193 yards of total offense including just 84 yards through the air.
Max Rascon Jr. led the way with 11 tackles, a sack, and a tackle-for-loss in the contest.
Jayden Botterill finished with three tackles and two tackles-for-loss.

Dayton Harrell recorded a pass breakup and the game sealing interception against the Broncos.
Blake Hogancamp also recorded a sack and an interception in the contest.

Brock Saya ranks second in the GPAC in passing yards per game, averaging 312.3 through the air. He is tied for third in the GPAC in passing touchdowns with six on the season. Saya is completing 72.8% of his passes this season, good for first in the conference.

Kymani Fleurme ranks fourth in the GPAC in receiving yards per game with 92 yards per contest while ranking tied for third in receiving touchdowns with two.

SCOUTING THE LANCERS
The Lancers earned their first victory over a ranked opponent last weekend, defeating the Northwestern Red Raiders 24-14 in Yankton, South Dakota.

The defense was led by Arthur Oliver who recorded two interceptions last contest. Cole Cripps led the team in pass breakups with four.
Â
Rugby Ryken went 21-for-33 passing for 241 yards and one touchdown. Malachy Harts rushed for 62 yards on 16 carriers and scored a rushing touchdown.

The leading receiver was Jacksen Wachholtz, who finished with seven grabs for 102 yards.

Ryken leads the GPAC in passing touchdowns with eight and is ranked fourth in the GPAC in passing yards per contest with 214 per contest. Harts ranks second in the GPAC in rushing yards per contest with 99.3 per game and tied for second in rushing touchdowns with three.

Rodney Broadnax ranks second in the conference in receiving touchdowns with three.

Brock Saya went 17-for-28 passing for 231 yards and threw three touchdowns to one interception.
Steven Whiting finished with two catches for 48 yards and hauled in one touchdown.
Kymani Fleurme finished with three grabs for 46 yards.
