Dayton Harrell of the Charger football team was named Hilton Garden Inn Sioux City Riverfront Briar Cliff Athlete of the Week for his performance last Saturday against the Hastings Broncos.
 
Harell, a sophomore from Sioux City, Iowa, recorded five tackles and an interception along with a pass breakup in the Chargers 20-16 win. On the Broncos final two plays on offense, Harell recorded a pass breakup and recorded the game sealing interception.
 
The Chargers will head to Yankton, South Dakota to take on the Mount Marty Lancers in the second edition of the Catholic Cup. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
