PETERS BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD, TAKES FIRST AT GPAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Charger track and field team were in action this weekend, competing at the GPAC Championships in Hastings, Nebraska.
 
Lilly Peters broke the school record in the javelin, recording a best throw of 43.50 meters and taking first place in the event. Peters also hit the auto-qualifying mark for the national meet.
 
Tinotenda Musariri finished third in the 200m dash with a mark of 21.79. Wilton George finished third in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.60 seconds. George also finished fourth in the 200 with a time of 21.92.
 
The 4x100 relay team of Musariri, George, Jalen Cook, and Daryl Moppins finished fifth with a time of 41.45 seconds.

The Chargers will return to action May 9, as they will travel to Seward, Nebraska for the Concordia Twilight Meet.
