Charger track and field returned to action Saturday, competing in the Loper Invitational in Kearney, Nebraska.
 
Lilly Peters finished third in the Javelin, recording a best mark of 38.82 meters. Ashley Quirmo-Rosales finished the 1500m with a time of 6:03.37.
 
Jalen Cook finished eighth in the 400m with a time of 50.21. He placed 10th in the 100m with a mark of 11.28 seconds. Jayson Rucker finished seventh in the 200m clocking a 22.75.
 
The Charger men's 4x100 team qualified for the Drake Relays held in Des Moines, Iowa this Wednesday-Friday. The Chargers well also be competing in the Simpson in Indianola, Iowa.
