Lily Peters of the Charger track and field team finished 19th overall in the javelin at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Marion, Indiana.
 
Peters, a freshman from Hamburg, Iowa, first throw of the meet. Peters would scratch on her second throw and her final throw of the event was 32.23 meters.
 
The Charger track and field team will return to action tomorrow at the NAIA Championships, as Wilton George will compete in the 110m hurdles. George, Tinotenda Musariri, Daryl Moppins, Jalen Cook, and Jalen Cook will compete in the 4x400 relay.
