CHARGERS TO THE THIRD DEGREE

SEWARD, Neb. - The Briar Cliff University women's outdoor track & field team made the most of its three competitors at the Concordia Twilight Meet.
 
In the triple jump, senior Isabel Sayler was second with a jump of 38 feet, 3.50 inches.  That hit the NAIA "B" Standard and was the second longest jump in school history.  Sayler missed the "A" Standard by 1.25 inches.

In the shot put, senior Hope Wagner was second with a toss of 45 feet, 3.75 inches.  That is the second longest throw in BCU history and is the fourth meet this season that she has hit the NAIA "A" Standard.

In the 100-meter hurdles, freshman Devonda Sands ran 14.86 to finish fifth.  In the pre-lims, she ran 14.77 to break the school record of 14.78 she set at the GPAC Championships this year.

Briar Cliff is off until Wed.-Thur.-Fri., May 22-24 when they compete at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships.  The meet is in Marion, Ind.
