The Charger baseball swept the Waldorf Warriors on senior day at the Bishop Mueller Complex in Sioux City, Iowa.

Game one – W, 6-1

Cade Nelson in game one threw a complete game, allowing just one run across one hit while recording eight strikeouts. Nelson also allowed just one walk.

In the bottom of the third, a lead off double from
Damon Schmid turned into a run after
Diego Trujillo reached base on a fielder's choice.

Tied 1-1 heading into the bottom of the fourth,
Nico Sall led off the inning with a solo shot to put BC back ahead. In the bottom of the fifth, a sac fly from Trujillo to card in another run.

The Cliff in the bottom of the sixth carded three more runs to take the 6-1 victory.

Game two – W, 11-3
Â
Brock Saya in game two earned the win on the mound, tossing seven innings and allowed just two runs scattered across six hits while recording 10 strikeouts.

Nico Sall got the Chargers off to a strong start with a three-run blast in the bottom of the first inning. In the bottom of the third
Jake Chronic recorded a solo home run to extend the lead to 4-0.

In the bottom of the seventh, a two-run shot from Trujillo followed by a RBI single from
Cam Riemer gave BCU a 7-2 lead. The Chargers tacked on seven more runs between the seventh and eighth inning to take the sweep.

The Chargers finish the regular season with a 24-21 (17-11 GPAC) record and will head into the GPAC tournament and will enter the GPAC Tournament as the fourth seed, and will travel to Seward, Nebraska next Wednesday. The Cliff will take on the fifth seeded Midland Warriors at 3 p.m.
