The Chargers went 2-0 against the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers at the Bishop Mueller Complex in Sioux City, Iowa Thursday afternoon.

Game one – W, 7-3
Â
After giving up three runs in the first two innings, it was all Chargers moving forward, starting with a solo home run from
Cade Marquardt in the bottom of the second inning. A two-run single from
Raenan Padilla tied the game.

Jake Chronic put the ball in play and Padilla scored on the sacrifice ground out to give BC a one-run lead.

In the bottom of the third with runners at second and third with one out,
Connor Neubeck launched one over the right center wall to extend the lead 7-3.

Carter Schorg after giving up three runs in the first inning held the Tigers scoreless the rest of the way, pitching a complete game while recording six strikeouts.

Game two – W, 6-5
Â
The Cliff took a 2-1 lead after the first inning following
Rance Bryant's score off a qild pitch and a sac RBI from
Diego Trujillo.

In the second, an error by the Tigers followed by a RBI single from Trujillo gave BCU a 4-1 lead. Leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth, the Chargers scored after
Nico Sall put the ball in play and drove in Bryant.

In the bottom of the sixth, a RBI double from Trujillo added an insurance run at made it a 6-4 lead. The Tigers late rally was halted, as
Brock Wallace earned the save by retiring the final two batters and recording a strikeout.

The Chargers move to 19-20 (12-10 GPAC) and will head to Mitchell, South Dakota this Saturday to complete their four-game series with the Tigers.
