Abby Lee of the Charger women's basketball team has been named the Week 6: GPAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week after a standout two-game stretch anchoring Briar Cliff on both ends of the floor.
Lee, a freshman from Sioux City, Iowa, was a force defensively throughout the week, averaging six defensive rebounds, three steals, and 3.5 blocks per game. She opened the week against Dordt with an all-around dominant effort, tallying five steals, three blocks, and six defensive rebounds while helping set the tone defensively for the Chargers.

She continued her strong play against Mount Marty, recording four blocks, one steal, and six more defensive rebounds as the Cliff secured another conference victory. Lee was equally impactful on offense, averaging 18.5 points per game across the two contests.

The Chargers return to action on Wednesday, December 10, when they host the Morningside Mustangs. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
