SCOUTING THE CHARGERS
The Chargers have won three straight after defeating the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers 21-7 on Homecoming at Memorial Field last Saturday. The Chargers in the latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll were receiving votes for the first time since the 2018 season.

Kyle Gibson earned GPAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after forcing two fumbles and recording an interception. He finished second on the team in tackles with eight.

Max Rascon Jr. has anchored the defense with a team high 40 tackles and four tackles-for-loss. He has also registered 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
Joseph Casarez has posted 2.5 sacks while
Michael Casarez and
Blake Hogancamp have registered two.
Brock Saya threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.
Chase Thomas rushed for 63 yards on 21 carries with a long rush of 14 yards.

Jayden Westbook recorded four catches for 88 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Kymani Fleurme recorded five grabs for 82 yards while
Steven Whiting hauled in four catches for 66 yards.

Saya ranks second in the GPAC in passing yards per game and passing touchdowns, averaging 279.4 yards per contest and has tossed 10 touchdowns. Thomas is tied for second in the GPAC in rushing touchdowns with four.

Fleurme ranks third in the conference in receiving yards per contest with 91.8 per game while Whiting is tied for second in receiving touchdowns with four.

SCOUTING THE DEFENDERS
The 13
th ranked Defenders stunned the Northwestern Red Raiders 21-20 in Orange City, Iowa last weekend, marching 93 yards on the final drive to take a one-point lead with 13 seconds remaining.

Noah Strickfaden went 17-for-29 passing for 245 yards and two touchdowns. He led the team in rushing with 10 carries for 68 yards. Strickfaden this season has rushed for 188 yards and a score while Daniel Dickerson has rushed for 131 yards on 27 attempts and has found the endzone four times this season.

Eliot Beal paces the Defender receiving corps with 15 catches for 287 yards and a touchdown. Rhett Williams has hauled in seven catches for 151 yards and a score.

The defense is led by Isaac Kacmarynski, who has posted 21 tackles and a sack. Zach Quiring, Cole Johnson and Devin Endel have each recorded an interception.

The Defenders took a 55-7 victory at Memorial Field last season.
For the Defenders, Daniel Dickerson rushed for 106 yards on nine carries and scored two touchdowns.
Strickfaden rushed for a touchdown while also going six-for-eight passing for 59 yards.
For the Chargers,
Kymani Fleurme hauled in nine catches for 122 yards and a score.
