Briar Cliff Competes At Augustana Twilight

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Briar Cliff University women's cross country team ran at the Augustana Twilight. The race was 5000-meters.

Nebraska scored 33 points to win by 10 points over South Dakota State. Rounding out the top five was Augustana was third with 64 points while Minnesota State and Iowa Central CC tied for fourth with 139 points.

For Briar Cliff, the top runner was junior Maria Russell who ran 22:35.39 to place 222nd. Rounding out the squad was freshman Ashley Quimiro-Rosales who ran 22:44.71 to finish 224th.

Briar Cliff will compete at the Sunflower Open, Saturday, Sept. 14 in Sioux Center, Iowa.
