The Briar Cliff cross country teams set eight new personal best times at the Holiday Inn Express Classic on Dordt University's campus.

Carter Matthews,
Juan Celio, and
Caleb Sassman recorded PRs in the Classic.
"Great race day for the Chargers today! Multiple new personal records for both men's and women's team," said assistant coach
Chandler Cork. "It's now time to rest up, heal the injuries, and get ready for the next one. We have one meet left at Mount Marty on October 22nd before it is conference time!"
Robert Amaro paced the men's team with a time of 27:39:03 and finished 88th in a field of 164 runners. Matthews was next with a time of 28:03:64, good for 104th place.
Juan Celio and
Moises Lupercio followed for the Chargers, with Celio finishing with 28:47:74 and Lupercio with 30:34:01.
Kenny Nolan finished his 8k in 30:54:14, while Sassman ran a time of 31:25:16.
Pluma Pross paced the Charger women's team with a 5k time of 21:02:71, good for 80th place out of 153 runners.
Rylee Antonino was the next Charger to finish with 22:10:04, and
Lexi Weber ran her race in 22:14:96.
Kyleigh Lyons finished with 23:13:82,
Maria Russell ran the race in 24:35:69, and
Jalen Pike rounded out the women's team with 25:28:96.
The Chargers return to action October 22nd at the Mount Mary Invitational in Yankton, South Dakota.
