Hope Wagner highlighted the day for the Briar Cliff track and field team at the USD Early Bird, hitting the A standard in the women's shot put.

Dominic Archer and
Joshua Miller all recorded new PRs in their respective events.

Wagner hit the A standard with a shot put of 13.76m, which is the sixth best throw in the NAIA currently. Her throw leads all GPAC athletes and is 0.19 meters farther than Midland's Alivia Baucom, who has also hit the A standard.

Isabel Sayler placed 13th in the triple jump with a leap of 10.81 meters.
Taylor Kinner raced in the 100 and 200-meter dashes and recorded times of 14.4 and 30.89, respectively.

Archer had the top individual placing for the BC men, finishing 19th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.72 seconds. With his new PR in the 100, Archer is closing in on hitting the NAIA B Standard of 10.60 seconds. Also competing in the 100 was Miller, who finished 23rd at 10.77 seconds.

Janish's time of 21.95 seconds was a new PR and was good for 20th place, while Ingraham and Miller placed 22nd and 25th, respectively.

Robert Amaro finished 22nd in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:06.18 seconds and was followed by
Carter Matthews and
Caleb Sassman who placed 26th and 35th.

Osiel Ochoa paced the Cliff in the 400 with a time of 51.82 seconds and finished 26th.
Jalen Cook ran a 52.30 and Amaro finished in 53.74 seconds.

The Charger 4x100 team of Archer, Ingraham, Janish and Miller finished sixth with a time of 42.16 seconds.

The Chargers will run in Sioux City, Iowa next weekend April 14-15 at the Sioux City Relays at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
