Box Score The Briar Cliff baseball team's eight-game winning streak came to an end as they fell on the road 17-7 to No. 4 LSU Shreveport on Monday evening.
"We gave them way too many free bases today both on the mound and defensively", said head coach Corby McGlauflin. "We put together nice at-bats all day, but you can't beat a top-five team in the county with sloppy defense. At the end of the day, it was a great trip and we look forward to getting into conference play!"
The Chargers are averaging 8.1 runs per game, while the BC pitching staff allows only 4.6 runs per game.
