"Lincoln is a talented athlete whose best football is in front of him. He moves well and has great ball skills. His sister is a standout on the basektball court, and we are excited to continue the Benne legacy here on the Cliff!" said Head Coach Shane Ladage.

A seven-time letterman for Oakland-Craig, Lincoln Benne is a three-sport athlete, playing both football, basketball, and track. During his senior season, Benne totaled 651 yards on 45 catches and four touchdowns. He was named to the Omaha World Herald All-State team, Nebraska High School All-State team, Prep red-zone All-State team, and All-District team as a defensive back. He was also named to the Academic All-state team. Benne amassed 1,060 yards and six touchdowns during his prep career.  Benne has been involved in National Honor Society, High Honor Roll, One Acts, and Student council.

Lincoln is the son of Dale and Stephanie Benne. His older sister, Kennedy, is a four-year starter for the women's basketball team at Briar Cliff.
