Briar Cliff University

Keith Chapman is in his second year as an assistant coach with the BCU football program.  Chapman will primarily serve as the squad's defensive backs coach. Chapman comes to Briar Cliff following two seasons on the coaching staff at North High School. At North, he served as co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, helping the Stars to a conference championship in 2007. He has also served as an assistant track coach at North and a junior varsity girls' basketball coach at Dakota Valley. Coaching aside, Chapman serves as an outreach specialist at Sanford Center. During his playing days, Chapman was a Junior College Preseason All-American and went on to captain football and track teams at Upper Iowa. He still holds multiple outdoor track records at Upper Iowa. Chapman, a native of Batesville, Mississippi, played linebacker and strong safety for two seasons with the Sioux City Bandits of the United Indoor Football League, earning the team's Unsung Hero Award. Chapman resides in Sioux City.
