Lucy Carter of the Briar Cliff women's golf team has been named the Week 2: GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week following her standout performance at the Lila Frommelt Classic.

Carter, a junior from Kinsale, Ireland, earned the first individual title of her career as a Charger, finishing first in a field of 77 golfers. Carter carded a 76 to finish one stroke ahead of the second-place finisher and lead the Chargers at the event.

The individual championship marks Carter's first collegiate tournament victory and highlights a strong performance for the Charger women's golf team.

The Chargers return to action on Saturday, September 26, when they compete at the SMSU Fall Invite, in Marshall, MN.
