The Briar Cliff women's golf team hosted the Lila Frommelt Classic Wednesday at Two Rivers Golf Club, with the Chargers turning in a strong team performance while Lucy Carter claimed the individual championship.

Carter led the field with a 76 (+5) to finish in first place overall, earning her first collegiate tournament victory.

The Chargers finished tied for third place as a team with a score of 326 (+42).

Kate Wahman followed Carter with an 81 (+10), while Izzy McNaughton carded an 83 (+12). Madison Bushkofsky finished with an 86 (+15), and Ellery Jansen added an 87 (+16) while competing as an individual.

"Lucy has been playing well, and it was only a matter of time she found herself in the winner's circle," head coach Ben Irlbeck said. "Overall, the ladies have been working hard! Starting to pay dividends."

The Chargers return to action Monday, September 21, at the Tatanka Invite in Yankton, SD.
