The Briar Cliff men's golf team opened competition at the Mount Marty Fall Invite on Monday afternoon, currently sitting in seventh place as a team after the opening round.
The Chargers were paced by Alfie Henderson, who sits tied for eighth place individually after carding a score of 72.Â
Thomas Goetz follows closely behind, sitting tied for 14th place individually after posting a round score of 76.
"We look for continued steady play at the top of the lineup and also look forward to how the middle of the lineup shakes out for next week's Blue River Classic," head coach Ben Irlbeck said.
The Chargers will return to action Tuesday for the second round of the Mount Marty Fall Invite. Play begins at 10 AM.Â
