The Briar Cliff women's golf team opened competition at the Mount Marty Fall Invite on Monday afternoon, currently sitting in fifth place after the opening round.
The Chargers were paced by Lucy Carter, who sits in fourth place individually heading into day two. The Cliff got off to a strong start and sat in the top three through most of the opening round.
"We had a great team start today through the first 5-6 holes, and the Chargers were sitting in the top three as a team. Lucy, Izzy, Kate, and Ellery started strong. It will be fun watching this team grow together," head coach Ben Irlbeck said.
The Chargers will return to action tomorrow, August 25th, for day two of the Mount Marty Fall Invite.
