The Briar Cliff women's golf team placed seventh at the Concordia Bulldog Spring Invite, held April 7-8 at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska. The par-72 course played to 6,022 yards.
The Chargers posted a three-round total of 1032, carding scores of 344 in round one, 342 in round two, and 346 in the final round.
"We are showing some good progress from specific improvements over the winter months," said head coach
Ben Irlbeck. "The next two weeks will be a busy stretch as we work to peak at the GPAC conference event in a couple weeks."
Olivia Sorlie led the way for Briar Cliff, tying for 22nd overall. She shot +12 in the opening round, followed by +15 in round two and +14 in round three.
Lucy Carter finished tied for 26th, recording rounds of +18, +11, and +14.
Isabella McNaughton posted consistent scores of +12 in each of the first two rounds before finishing with a +22 in the final round.
Ellery Jansen rounded out the Charger lineup with rounds of +14, +16, and +19.
Briar Cliff returns to action April 10-11 at the Iowa Central Spring Invite in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
