WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO HOST NORTHWESTERN

The 19th -ranked Charger women's basketball team returns to GPAC action hosting the Northwestern Red Raiders at the Newman Flanagan Center. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. 
 
At the conclusion of the contest Briar Cliff will be giving away Subway Protein Pockets to Students, Staff, and Faculty with their ID, as well as Gold Seat Members. We ask that you enter the up the west stairwell near the men's basketball office, walk across the balcony towards the women's basketball offices, where sandwiches will be distributed, and exit down the east stairwell near the elevator.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS
The Briar Cliff women's basketball team returns to conference action after defeating St. Mary's at home this past Saturday afternoon 97-62.
 
Abby Lee led the way for the Chargers with 29 points on 12-of-14 shooting and knocking down three triples. She also recorded six rebounds and four steals in the win. Kenna Mongan followed tallying 17 points, three assists, and two steals. 
 
Mallory Leerar added 11 points, and Mallie McNair added nine and three assists in the win. 

Lee currently ranks second in the GPAC in points per game, averaging 19.4 per contest. She also ranks fifth in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 52.0% from the floor. McNair's 18.3 points per game ranks fourth in the GPAC. Heineman sits third in the conference with total steals at 61.
 
SCOUTING THE RED RAIDERS
The Red Raiders return to GPAC action after winning their latest GPAC match-up at home against the Doane Tigers 80-67. Allison Piercy led NWC with 21 points knocking down five from beyond the arc. She also tallied four rebounds, three steals, and a block.
 
Ashtyn Wobig and Jenna Kluxdal followed each adding 17 points of their own. Wobig went 6-of-9 on the night, while also collecting 11 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks. Kluxdal went 7-of-9 from the paint, and tallied two rebounds, and two blocks.
 
Piercy currently sits third in GPAC for three-point percentage at 31.9% shooting. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Cliff took a 79-70 on the road earlier this season.
 
McNair led the Chargers with 25 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Brooklyn Heineman followed with 16 points, six assists, six rebounds, and three steals. 
 
For the Red Raiders Wobig led with 19 points, five rebounds, and two assists.
