WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO HOST CSM

The 19th-ranked Charger women's basketball team returns to the Newman Flanagan Center this Saturday afternoon for a conference match-up, taking on the College of Saint Mary Flames. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. All K-12 students who wear Catholic school gear will gain free admission to the game.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS
The Charger women's basketball team returns to conference action after dropping their latest match-up on the road to No.9 Dakota Wesleyan 70-61.
 
Mallie McNair led the charge with 19 points and four assists, while hitting 5-of-8 from beyond the arc. Brooklyn Heineman followed with 10 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double on the night. She also added four assists and two steals. Abby Lee also tallied 10 points in the loss, along with three steals and a rebound. 

Lee ranks third in the GPAC in points per game, averaging 19.0 per contest. She ranks fifth in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 50.5% from the floor. McNair's 18.7 points per game rank fourth in the GPAC. Heineman is second in the conference with total steals at 61.

 
SCOUTING THE FLAMES
The Flames return to GPAC action after losing a close match-up against the Doane Tigers 74-68 at home. 
 
Emma Klusman led the way for CMU with 18 points, two rebounds, an assist, and a steal on the night. Madelyn Gaughen was right behind, with 16 points, six rebounds, five assists, and a steal.

For Saint Mary's, Haley Debuse currently ranks top five in GPAC in total blocks, totaling 28 on the season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Cliff took an 85-65 victory on the road earlier this season.
 
McNair led the Chargers with 30 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Lee followed with 21 points, seven rebounds, and a block in the victory. 
 
For the Flames, Gaughen led the way with 22 points, five rebounds, two steals, and an assist.
