The Charger wrestling team returned to action Saturday, competing in the Sioux City Open in North Sioux City, South Dakota.

Tyden Schultz took first place in the 133-pound division, going 4-0 on the day. After receiving a bye in the first round, Schultz earned a pin over Justin Soria of Indian Hills Community College. He followed up with a 7-2 decision victory over Tukker Bee of Dakota Wesleyan. He earned a 4-2 decision win over Christian St. Clair before winning by pin in the final match over Olli Webb of Indian Hills Community college to win the bracket.

Brandon Harris in the 157-pound bracket finished sixth after going 4-3 on the day. Harris picked up a win over Nicholas Freeland of Hastings with a 8-4 decision.

Jeremiah Louis at 149 went 2-2 on the day, picking up a 15-0 technical fall win over Daniel Camacho of Iowa Lakes Community College. He defeated Ryan Singleton of Indian Hills Community College 15-0 earning the technical fall.

Dyllon Carpenter at 174 went 2-2 and won both matches by pin.
