CHARGER ATHLETICS ANNOUNCE HALL OF FAME WEEKEND

Briar Cliff Athletics is proud to announce Hall of Fame Weekend this upcoming Friday and Saturday, Jan. 16–17. Charger Athletics will induct Noah Ylagan (Football), Kate Boettcher (Women's Volleyball), and Ricardo Yearwood (Men's Basketball) as part of the 2026 class.

Briar Cliff University will kick off Hall of Fame Weekend with an Alumni Happy Hour event at Palmer's Pub inside the Stoney Creek Hotel. The event will take place Friday, Jan. 16, from 5–7 p.m.

The Charger basketball teams will host the Mount Marty Lancers on Saturday, Jan. 17, inside the Newman Flanagan Center as part of Hall of Fame Weekend. The women's game will tip off at 2 p.m., while the men's contest will tip off at 3:45 p.m.

The Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized at halftime of the men's contest.

Ylagan, a native of San Diego, California, rewrote the Charger record books during his career at Briar Cliff. He is the Chargers' all-time rushing leader with 3,387 career yards and is the only Charger in program history to rush for 1,000 yards or more in a season. He ranks first in career rushing attempts (756) and rushing touchdowns (17). Ylagan was a two-time All-GPAC second-team selection and graduated from Briar Cliff in 2018.

Boettcher, a native of Owatonna, Minnesota, finished her career as the Chargers' all-time leader in digs by a libero with 2,862. She holds the three highest single-season dig totals in program history with 834 in 2007, 733 in 2005, and 705 in 2006. Boettcher was named GPAC Libero of the Year in 2007 and earned first-team All-GPAC honors in 2006 and 2007. She was also a second-team All-GPAC selection in 2005. Boettcher graduated from Briar Cliff in 2007.

Yearwood, a native of Panama City, Panama, ranks 11th on Briar Cliff's all-time scoring list with 1,787 career points. He ranks first in program history in career field-goal percentage, converting 64.8% of his attempts.

Yearwood also ranks eighth all-time in career field goals made (673), seventh in free throws made (441), and second in free throw attempts (754). He was a three-time All-Region selection during his final three seasons at Briar Cliff and graduated in 1996.
