The Charger track and field team returned to action Friday afternoon, competing in the USD Twilight Meet in Vermillion, South Dakota.
The 4x100 relay team
Jalen Cook,
Wilton George, Tinotenda Musariri, and
Jayson Rucker hit the NAIA B standard with a mark 41.01. They were .22 of a second away from the school record. The relay team also hit the NAIA B standard in the 4x400 with a mark of 3:15.22 and were three seconds away from the school record.
Musariri finished first in the 100m with a mark of 10.60. George took third in the 110m hurdles with a mark of 14.51.
Lilly Peters finished third in the javelin with a best mark of 41.07m and finished eighth in the discus with a mark of 35.24m.
Ashley Quimiro-Rosales finished the 1500m with a mark of 5:53.75.
The Cliff will return to action May 21 for the NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Meet.
