The Charger baseball team rallied in the bottom of the ninth to take a 5-4 victory over the top-seeded Concordia Bulldogs Thursday afternoon in Seward, Nebraska.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead in the contest, scoring two runs in the top of the first and a run in the top of the second to lead 3-0.

Nico Sall recorded his second home run of the tournament, a shot over the right field wall to put the Chargers on the board.

Concordia took a 4-1 lead in the top of the sixth with a solo home run from Ty Nekolicza. In the bottom of the eighth,
Connor Neubeck led off the inning with a double. Cam Reimer and
Raenan Padilla reached base after being struck by a pitch and the bases were loaded for the Chargers. The Bulldogs escaped the jam and stranded all runners.

The Chargers retired the side in order in the top of the ninth.
Diego Trujillo led off the inning with a single to left field and
Justin Remar was struck by a pitch. Runners advanced to second and third following a ground out.

Cade Marquardt loaded up the bases after an infield single. Neubeck drove in two runs with a double down the left field line to cut the lead to two. A fielding error from the Bulldogs allowed the Chargers to card in another run. A sacrifice ground out from Padilla tied the game at 4-4.

Jake Chronic gave BCU the walk-off win with a RBI single up the middle of the infield.

Sall and Neubeck both went two-for-four at the plate in the contest.

Cade Nelson got the start on the mound, tossing five innings and allowed three runs off six hits while recording four strikeouts.
Johnny Reed was tabbed with the win, pitching four innings and allowed just two hits and allowed one run while recording two strikeouts.
The Chargers advance to the pod final this upcoming Friday in Seward, Nebraska.
