The Charger track and field team returned to action this weekend, competing in both the Drake Relays and the Kip Janvrin Open.
 
The 4x100 relay team of Tinotenda Musariri, Wilton George, Jayson Rucker, and Daryl Moppins finished 26^th overall at the Drake Relays and posted a mark of 43.05.
 
Lilly Peters took first place in the Javelin throw, posting a best mark of 35.80 meters. Caitlin Anderholm posted a best throw of 26.02 meters and finished 15^th in the event.
 
Maria Russell finished the 5000-meter run with a time of 22:02.61.
 
In the men's 400-meter dash, Rucker posted a mark of 52.16 seconds.
 
Demetry Hoseth in the 1500-meter run posted a mark of 4:35.09. On the women's side, Ashley Quimiro-Rosales posted a mark of 5:54.44.
 
The Charger track and field team will now prepare for the GPAC Championships hosted in Hastings, Nebraska next Friday May 2-3
