The Charger baseball team dropped their doubleheader against the Jamestown Jimmies in Redfield, South Dakota Tuesday afternoon.

Game one – L, 9-10
Â
The Cliff struck first in game one, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. A lead off walk from
Rance Bryant followed by a double from
Jake Chronic put runners on second and third with no outs.
Cade Marquardt's two run single cleared the bases to score the game's first runs.
Â
Trailing by three heading into the top of the fourth, the Chargers scored off a play where Bryant stole second and Chronic made his way towards home plate. Another RBI single from Marquardt made it a one-run game.

Trailing 6-4 heading into the top of the sixth, the Cliff scored five runs capped by a one run single from
Connor Neubeck to take a 9-6 lead. The Jimmies scored for runs in the final two innings to steal game one.

Marquardt finished the contest going three-for-five while Chronic went two-for-four at the dish and scored four runs.

Game two – L, 4-15
Â
Neubeck put the Chargers on the board early with a RBI single in the first inning. The Jimmies' offense scored 12 runs between the third and fourth inning.

In the top of the fourth,
Caleb St. Cyr launched one over the left field fence.
Kyle Capece in the top of the sixth hit one over the right field wall to cap off the scoring for the Chargers.

The Cliff move to 17-20 overall and will return to GPAC play this Thursday as they host the Tigers of Dakota Wesleyan. Game one is slated for 1 p.m. with game two to follow shortly after.
